At Headwater Holidays, we are committed to ensuring the safety of our customers, staff and supplier partners always. With a focus on the great outdoors and getting off-the-beaten track, our expertly curated active trips are well suited to adopting new ‘safe travel best practices’ and we have been working, behind the scenes, with our local partners, be they hoteliers, transport and logistics providers or local guides and briefers to make sure that everything is being done to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible.
We regularly review and update the way in which we operate our holidays to keep our travellers safe, healthy and happy. Local and Head office support is available in every destination, all day, every day of your trip and our detailed self-guided route directions minimise the need for contact with local service providers on the ground.
Our team works in tandem with our local suppliers to keep you safe during your holiday. We’re on-hand to provide complete support to guide you through pre-departure requirements, as well as on your trip, and we’re happy to help with logistics for return testing if needed.
Private options – our experienced UK-based team can arrange private travel options in transfers or even a private rental car to minimise contact with others, you may even consider self-drive travel to flying for some destinations (ask for details).
At Headwater Holidays, the safety of our customers, staff and supplier partners is paramount. We will only travel to a country where the following criteria has been met:
In the regions and countries in which we offer our holidays, we’re working with suppliers who are introducing enhanced safety and cleaning protocols in response to COVID-19, in line with local government agencies.
As most of Headwater’s holidays are self-guided, this already provides our customers with the opportunity to socially distance naturally whilst out and about on their walking, cycling or canoeing routes.
We recommend that you purchase travel insurance that includes medical cover for COVID-19, Coronavirus, or any pandemic illness. You will need this to cover any care or costs relating to COVID-19.
