Pilgrimages

Embark on a spiritual journey

With every step on our pilgrimage routes, the uninterrupted miles give you time to reflect, uncover the history of these well-trodden routes, and form close bonds with fellow pilgrims. Each year, many choose to walk alone, safe in the knowledge that they're supported by our detailed route notes and pilgrim camaraderie. On our itineraries, you can expect clearly marked routes, picturesque pit-stops and plenty of opportunities to sample the local cuisine.

Some may see pilgrimage as a life-changing sacred journey, while others see it as a rewarding challenge, where you can discover new cultures and reconnect with nature. Many feel a renewed sense of community and camaraderie with fellow pilgrims and locals through shared stories and experiences, while walking at their own pace.

Embark on perhaps the most well-known pilgrimage, Camino de Santiago, following the well-trodden 'French Way' or hugging the coast up through Portugal to the Holy Door of Santiago. In Italy, the Via Francigena provides idyllic walking through olive groves and medieval villages steeped in history, where all roads lead to Rome. Aside from the breathtaking scenery, expect delicious meals of fresh octopus in Galicia to fine cheeses and hearty wines across Umbria & Lazio.
