As unspoilt islands in the Mediterranean go, Gozo has to be high up on the list. At just 14km by 7km and with a plethora of walking routes available, it's the perfect size to explore on foot.
Malta's second largest island has an intriguing blend of spectacular coastal paths and rock formations, sleepy fishing villages filled with character, and remnants of history and prehistoric times. The Inland Sea is a natural seawater pool which offers a stunning spot for a swim.

Gozo's most famous attraction is the Ggantija Archaeological Park, home to prehistoric tombs on the Xaghra plateau. These structures were built between c.3600 and c.3200 BC.
