Boasting between 1,400 and 2,400 hours of sunshine every year, it's clear to see why this spectacular 180km stretch is coined 'The Sunshine Coast'. Tucked into the southwest corner of mainland British Columbia the region's marine parks, old-growth forests and alpine peaks that continue from Howe Sound all the way to Desolation Sound have attracted hiking and walking enthusiasts for centuries - and for good reason.

On our Walking Canada's Sunshine Coast trip, you'll take in the best sections of the coastline, while also venturing inland to enjoy a gentle walk to the summit of Mount Elphinstone Summit Trail, for sweeping ocean vistas of Vancouver, Gibsons, Bowen Island, and much of Howe Sound. You'll also get the opportunity to explore the many trails in Madeira Park and discover hand-carved wooden huts and waterfalls around the Powell River.
