France: Burgundy

Walking in Chablis Vineyards

  • Relaxed walking in the heart of the vineyards
  • Introduction to the World-famous wines of Chablis from the vine to the glass
  • Well being : Relax at the hotel's spa, enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace and savour a gastronomic dinner.

As admired for its hilly landscapes as for its Burgundy wines, Chablis now has an international reputation for its excellent quality white wines: outstanding finesse, minerality and purity. The vineyards around Chablis, are delight for lovers of both culture and wine; they are home to some of France's finest appellations, and feature some of its most beautiful castles.

Surrounded by the famous vineyards that produce dry white wine, Chablis is a fine example of a medieval Burgundian village. Grown across a relatively small area of about 20 kilometers from north to south and around 15 from east to west, Chablis wines offer a wide range of expression through the Petit Chablis and Chablis appellations and the different Climats of the Chablis Premier Cru and Chablis Grand Cru AOCs.

You will stay in a 3* gastronomic boutique hotel, nestled in the heart of Chablis. In a region known for its epicurean finesse, you will enjoy fine dining. At the gastronomic restaurant and at the hotel's Bistrot, you will be able to taste Burgundy's excellent local dishes such as Oeufs en Meurette, Poulet de Bresse a la Creme, Perche aux Noix and of course exquisite cheeses like the pungent Epoisses de Bourgogne, to pair with the region's incredible Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines.

With nearly 100 appellations, Burgundy wine is distinguished by its great diversity (of both red and white) and 'climates,' shaped by soils and very specific geographical properties. The Grand Cru trail, is an easy walk that overlooks many of the Grand Crus plots, and gives a quick glimpse of the Chablis landscape with its vineyards and forest paths.
You stay at Hostellerie des Clos (Breakfast and evening meal at the hotel's gastronomic restaurant included)
