Where should I go on a cycling holiday in Andalucia?

There are many beautiful locations to explore on our cycling holidays across southern Spain. Experience rural landscapes and coastal settings on a self-guided bike tour of Andalucia or Alicante.

Seville to Cadiz

The route from Seville to Cadiz shows off this quintessentially Spanish part of the Iberian peninsula. Its culture and rich past are evident in the Moorish architecture, religious festivals and local cuisine. You can spend time exploring stunning sights such as Real Alcazar, Seville's royal palace complex, before setting off along country roads and through woodland at your own pace. On your self-guided bike tour, you can pedal along coastal routes and take in Arcos de la Frontera, one of Andalucia's pueblos blancos (white villages). Arcos is precariously positioned at the top of dramatic vertical cliffs surrounded by the Guadalete River, which flows around three sides of the town.

You'll soak up Spanish tradition, from flamenco to sherry wines, before ending in Cadiz. Thought to be the oldest city in Western Europe, it's home to a lively market, white beaches and the golden-domed Cadiz Cathedral.

Costa Blanca

The iconic Costa Blanca spans the Alicante region's coastline and boasts sun-soaked shores and soft golden beaches. Enjoy cycling through olive, almond and orange blossom groves and villages before making your way to Serra Mariola Natural Park. Awesome limestone mountains, woodland and riverside paths stretch across the park's 17,000 hectares.

Our itinerary takes you to castles and allows you to discover scenic vistas and hilltop towns across the region as you make your way down to the coast. This self-guided cycling tour will end with two nights at the seaside towns of Denia and Javea, with crystal-clear Mediterranean waters lapping the golden sand.
