We understand that in the current situation, your travel plans may well need to change. That’s why during the current situation with COVID-19, we are adding booking flexibility nearer to your date of departure.
The welfare of our customers is always our primary concern, and our experienced global team are working hard to react to this fluid and fast-moving situation. Things are changing quickly, and we’re constantly monitoring expert advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and official government travel advice.
Our booking flexibility ensures that our customers can re-plan their travels as flexibly as possible.
If Headwater cancels or suspends your trip, or you are unable to travel due to restrictions either in your home country or the country you’re travelling to, your booking can be transferred to a future date or alternative holiday or, if this isn’t suitable, you will receive a Refund Credit Note valid for bookings made before 31st July 2021.
Once you have paid your final balance, and up to 42 days prior to departure, you have the flexibility to transfer your travel plans to a future date or alternative holiday free of charge (subject to any difference in published holiday cost) or, if this isn’t suitable, you will receive a Refund Credit Note valid for bookings made within 12 months.
If you decide to cancel and you are travelling within the next 42 days, Headwater will transfer all recoverable costs to another holiday of your choosing or issue a Refund Credit Note valid for bookings made before 31st July 2021.

I understand that some of our clients have concerns around upcoming travel plans and would like to reiterate that our first priority is always the safety and well-being of our customers and employees. Our commitment to improving life through travel, treading lightly and giving back to the communities we pass through, is something we are very proud of. We visit small, locally owned hotels and employ some extremely talented representatives in resort who will, of course, be concerned about the impact that this situation will have upon them. I would, however, like to remind travellers of their much-needed contribution to communities around the world, as by travelling we bring economic benefit to people and hard-to-reach places that quite literally changes lives.
The situation is constantly changing but as a well-established company with 35 years of experience, Headwater would like to reassure you that we have robust plans in place. We have, as a team, worked through many periods of uncertainty including natural disasters and global health threats, and we continue to pull together to ensure that our customers are safe and well-cared for. For any customers concerned about upcoming travel, I am pleased to offer one of the most flexible travel policies in the industry, with transferable deposits and no change fees to move to another holiday (subject to conditions).
