Customer reviews: Germany cycling holidays

Everyone who goes on a Headwater holiday will be emailed a link to our post-holiday questionnaire where they can give us an honest assessment of all aspects of their holiday - everything from how quickly we answer the phone to how clean the hotels were - plus an overall rating and comments about their holiday.

Any feedback collected is posted to our website, so that people can make an informed decision based on past experiences before heading off on holiday. We don’t edit the reviews, the only thing we do is proofread them and alter any typos, where necessary, to ensure they are easy to read for everyone. All reviews will be published (except in certain extreme circumstances), and a member of the Headwater team will respond to any constructive criticisms/comments under the reviews, at their discretion. So, for the real tales, twists and turns of our holidays, look no further than the reviews from our previous travellers.

This was our first cycling holiday abroad and one we will definitely repeat. As first timers we were glad we booked a single hotel holiday as it gave us the opportunity to have a non cycle day, if required.

It is useful to have all transport and equipment booked in advance.

We had a very wonderful holiday thank you

The most beautiful region with various terrain, however quite a few major roads to cycle on .The highlight of the holiday was the Reinhardt hotel ,staff ,food and amenities were all excellent.

We enjoyed this cycling route through hills, forests, attractive villages and around the Bavarian lakes and Alps. Our e-bikes were excellent, though we would have appreciated a more detailed introuduction from the Eurobikes rep. The hotels were all very comfortable and welcoming, while the luggage transfers worked smoothly. As far as route finding was concerned, the Guibo mapping app was essential and very reliable but the written route instructions (translated from German) were not easy to understand or relate to the actual route, while some of the cycle way signposting was hard to spot, especially in towns and villages. We took a few wrong turnings!

All in all, though, a most enjoyable tour of Bavarian landscapes, food and architecture.
