What should I wear?

For Headwater's range of snow holidays you don't need to buy any expensive technical clothing - what you would wear for walking in the winter is usually fine.

As a guide, clothing must be functional to protect you from the elements. Dressing in layers is the key and clothing worn next to the skin needs to wick away moisture through the layers. Additionally, air is trapped between the layers creating insulation and warmth from the outside air. Layers can be easily added or removed to regulate your body temperature - as you generate quite a lot of heat, it's normal to take layers off as the day progresses!

Whatever the weather it's really important to always use moisturiser on your face and lip salve on your lips. The wind, like the sun, can dry and crack your skin so be sure to use moisturiser before and after activities. For sun protection sun cream should be applied 30 minutes before going into the sun and reapplied at regular intervals. A high protection cream is strongly recommended.
