Highlights The Lot remains undoubtedly one of France's least spoiled regions, with dramatic views at every turn: forgotten valleys, cliff-hanging villages, mediaeval towns and world-famous pre-historic sites. Wonderfully friendly hotels too.

This thoroughly enjoyable cycling holiday follows a triangular route. Starting by the River Lot, it takes you first up north onto the Causse de Gramat, the largest of the Quercy plateaux. There's a wonderful feeling of spaciousness up here, and the views are stunning. Then a wonderful freewheel down the Cele valley before a final stretch along the banks of the River Lot. You keep coming across fascinating places to visit, including the pretty village of Cabrerets, mediaeval Cajarc, and the prehistoric galleried caves at Pech'Merle.
You stay at one of our favourite hotels which has been a hostelry since C13, and another, superbly placed for exploring St Cirq-Lapopie. Meals throughout are of a very high standard. All hotels have private swimming pools, except for Labastide, and river bathing is popular too.

We're probably a little biased, so here's what our customers say...
"Thank you for providing such a wonderful holiday for us again!"
Dr Rotheray, Amersham
"We have had 2 Headwater holidays now and both have been very enjoyable"
Mrs Evans, Essex
