Independent, 8 nights. No min number 2 Cycle level, intermediate, lots of hills!
'Italy's green heart' Very rural, untouched by tourism, mediaeval towns/cities, home cooking and local wines
This holiday is the ideal way to combine easy valley cycling with the opportunity to visit some of Italy’s best known and most fascinating historical and art cities. Starting from just outside Perugia, you travel south following the vale of Spoleto, stopping off not only at world-renowned Assisi and Spoleto but also at lesser-known gems such as medieval Bevagna. All the time you have the dramatic backdrop of the Apennine mountains to the east.
Amazingly, you’re unlikely to meet many other riders in this area which seems made for cycling. There is an extensive network of quiet country roads and motor traffic avoids these, keeping to the local express routes. On the way there are plenty of little villages where you can stop for a cool drink and a gelato.
This holiday would appeal to couples, older children and groups.
We think this holiday is similar to our Hidden Valleys and Villages Cycling holiday as both feature undulating cycling, good food and excellent local wines.
Non Standard dates are not really possible, however, this holiday does operate every 2 days.
Continental breakfast and evening meals are included on this holiday
We're probably a little biased, so here's what our customers say...
