This great value cross country skiing holiday is based just south of Innsbruck, in the charming village of Trins (1200m) and in the heart of the Austrian Tyrol. It's a region simply made for exploring on skis and its extensive network of well prepared trails make it a perfect place for first timers or returning guests looking for a further challenge.
To the west of the village - officially the sunniest in the area - lie the beautiful Gschnitztal and Obernbergtal valleys extending to the great peaks and glaciers of the Stubai Alps. A third valley, the spectacular Schmirntal, rises to the east into the Zillertal Alps. On this holiday, you'll ski in all three, exploring meadows, woods, quaint villages and working farms. Confident skiers will also have the chance to enjoy high altitude trails at Mariawaldrast (1700m) - here the former mediaeval monastery is now a welcoming cafe run by the last remaining monk!
Centrally located in the heart of the village, *** Hotel Wienerhof is a traditional family-run hotel dating back to 1731. With just 22 rooms, it's an intimate and friendly place to stay. There's a cosy bar and dining room. At the end of every day's skiing, complimentary afternoon tea is on offer, and there is no single supplement on any date.
We also offer a winter walking holiday at this hotel - ideal if some of your party would prefer not to ski.
