Many of our destinations have selected departures with no single supplement. Please check the departure dates and prices for your chosen holiday for these dates. We recommend booking early to avoid disappointment. If you are travelling on your own but would be willing to share a twin room with a member of the same sex why not visit Terminal One, our on-line forum, and post a request to share?
A winter activity holiday with Headwater can be an exhilarating experience, an adventure and the perfect way to share quality time with your family!
With a whole network of routes to choose from, varying in length and difficulty, there's always plenty to keep the children entertained regardless of age or level. Whether it's skiing along blue tracks (easy) at the foot of a valley, or testing yourselves on more challenging red (difficult) slopes that wind their way through the forest, there couldn't be a healthier, more invigorating way to spend a week with your kids!
Children get big discounts, all season, usually for under 12's sharing a room with 2 adults. Even if not sharing, under 12's will often qualify for discounted travel fares. They are welcome on many of our holidays however, facilities and amenities do vary considerably from village to village and some hotels/holidays do have a 'no under 14's policy'. Please see specific holiday information, or call our sales team for details.
Apart from the skiing, in many areas there is a whole host of alternative activities including tobogganing, ice-skating, dog sledding and sleigh rides. It's an experience you will remember for a long time to come!
For very young children, we'd recommend Venabu in Norway, especially during the school holidays when a full programme of events is organised. Leutasch, in Austria, also has good facilities for children from about 7yrs upwards, with a special tobogganing slope close to the hotel. The hotel also has an indoor play area and games room with table tennis, table football, darts and pinball.
Families with teenagers might consider Geilo, Leutasch or Davos, with plenty of opportunities for ice-skating, downhill skiing, snow boarding and things to do in the evenings.
