Hotel Agathae , Catania

This pretty 3* hotel is set right in the heart of Catania's historic town centre, on one of the city's main streets, Via Etnea, with lovely views onto the city's gardens and just a few minutes walk from all the main attractions and many of the city's best restaurants and cafes.

The hotel is named after the 3C martyr and patron saint of Catania, Sant'Agata, who according to local legend protects the city from the mighty Mount Etna. The hotel dates back to the 1800s when it was rebuilt following an earthquake in 1693 which almost completely destroyed the city. It therefore features some detail typical of this period, including high vaulted ceilings and beautifully frescoed walls, which allude to the grandeur of times gone by, as well as Sicilian artisan-made furniture which compliments the hotel's interior.

The hotel benefits from a terrace overlooking the Villa Bellini gardens, where weather permitting, you can take a leisurely breakfast before setting off sightseeing!

Giardino sul Mare, Lipari

A few minutes from Marina Corta, the picturesque fishing port, the Hotel Giardino sul Mare looks out from a bastion of rock over the bay of Lipari, the largest island in the Aeolian archipelago. The hotel has 46 attractive, welcoming rooms, each with shower, WC and telephone, as well as satellite TV, safe, mini-bar and hairdryer.

The hotel also boasts a cool, leafy restaurant terrace where you can sample the island's specialities whilst watching the fishing boats coming in, with views of the Sicilian coastline in the distance.

There is also a swimming pool at the hotel; sea bathing is also possible.

Hotel Rocce Azzurre, Lipari

Just a short walk from Lipari's fishing port, Marina Corta, and situated right on the coast, is the Hotel Rocce Azzurre. The hotel enjoys panoramic views over the port and the Mediterrean Sea beyond, especially from its restaurant, bar and terrace, and from the sunbathing area.

The comfortable and well-appointed rooms are all tastefully decorated in bright blue colours - in keeping with the hotel's name, 'blue rocks' - and a number of rooms also have a nautical theme. All rooms are en suite and benefit from air-conditioning.

Hotel Ossidiana, Stromboli

Built in a typical Mediterranean style, the hotel has been totally renovated and offers a marvellous view of the beach and the sea. Behind the hotel rises the lofty volcano of Stromboli, known for its eruptive activity called 'Strombolian'. Hotel Del Corso, Taormina

The Hotel del Corso is located right in the historical centre of Taormina, on the town's pedestrianised Corso Umberto I, which also gives the hotel its name. This is the central hub of the town, offering a wealth of shops and cafes, and with easy access to all the major attractions.

The hotel itself is an elegant palazzo which has been converted into a charming hotel. The 15 rooms are ensuite, elegantly furnished and equipped with all the modern comforts to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
