This luxury 7-night stay is based in the pretty town of Davos, in the heart of the Swiss Alps, a haven for trying out a wide variety of winter sports. The impeccably maintained cross-country ski trails, many floodlit, criss-cross the entire valley forming a 75 km network of runs stretching right across the Landwasser valley. Davos, with its first-class facilities and magical, panoramic mountain backdrop forms the perfect location for relaxing, learning the basic techniques of cross-country skiing and independently exploring the area.

You’ll stay at the elegant **** Hotel Meierhof as guests of Riet and Katherin Frey, both keen cross country skiers. From its formal lobby, dominated by a hand-carved pine grandfather clock, to its low-lit wooden panelled dining room, this C19 hotel recalls a grander age of travel. You also have a wide range of modern day facilities including an indoor swimming pool and first class wellness area with saunas, solarium, steam bath, whirlpool and mini gym.

The hotel enjoys a long standing reputation for its gourmet cuisine and extensive wine selection. Expect to taste exquisitely presented dishes such as cheese roulade with a courgette and wild mushroom ragout, or red mullet served with olive ravioli. There is a cosy piano bar where you can relax with coffee and cognac after dinner.

We will provide you with a Davos card, which gives you unlimited travel on many of the regional buses, trains and mountain railway routes. A 6-day cross-country ski pass and all cross-country ski equipment is also included in the price of your holiday, and we’ve built in 3 morning lessons with a highly experienced, professional ski instructor.

Wonderful winter days can also be spent without skis, with nearly 100km of well-prepared winter-walking paths. Alternatively spend time downhill skiing or ice-skating on Europe’s largest natural ice rink.
