Grand Hotel Union, Ljubljana

The Grand Hotel Union is one of Ljubljana’s most prestigious hotels. Built at the turn of the century it was considered one of the finest hotels in Europe at this time with its lift, central heating and telephones (a rarity in 1905). Its hall was used as the city’s concert hall for many years and its clientele has traditionally been associated with the arts. The hotel has hosted many famous pianists and singers over the years. In 1998 the hotel was fully renovated but in keeping with its Art Deco origins.

Hotel Tartini, Piran

The Hotel Tartini has 42 double rooms, all with satellite TV, air conditioning, direct dial telephone and mini bar. They are decorated in a contemporary style with bright, colourful furnishing in some rooms contrasting pleasantly with the original 18C building. Hotel Hvala, Kobarid

The Hotel Hvala (meaning Thank you in Slovenian!) is a family run hotel that lies in the centre of the small town of Kobarid, located in the Soca River Valley.

The hotel is an Alpine style building with carved wooden balconies looking out over the main square and village church.

The hotel has a pleasing open aspect looking out over Lake Bled, there is a lakeside promenade accessed directly from the hotel.
