Lysebu Hotell, Oslo

Built in the style of a traditional Norwegian farm, the Lysebu Hotel is a romantic, fairytale-style place to stay. Surrounded by snow frosted trees and nestling in the Holmenkollen hills 12km away from central Oslo, the hotel feels a million miles away from a capital city. However, it is just ten minute walk to the train station where you can be transported to Oslo’s centre.

The hotel itself is a dark wood building within which there are 55 guest rooms and a maze of public rooms. The bedrooms are comfortably furnished in a simple style.

Not all rooms have television, but if you would like one they can be requested. All rooms have direct dial telephone, minibar, hairdryers and a “Lysebu teddy bear”!

The hotel also has a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and solarium. Within the hotel grounds you will also find sledges, which are free for guests to use.

Both of the hotels dining rooms have large windows offering open panoramic views across the surrounding snow-dusted forest.
