General information:

A relatively easy walking holiday, mostly along marked paths (the occasional short rocky section) and quiet country lanes. There are a couple of short ascents so walking boots are highly recommended. The walks are short, plenty of time to explore exquisite villages, natural wonders and historic sights.

Location:

This holiday provides a delightful insight into Provence as it used to be - and into the lives of the people who live there today. You start and finish at our hotel in St Didier, and in between stay at Apt, Roussillon and Joucas.

The walk is set in the glorious Luberon National Park, and you pass lavender fields, cypress woods, cherry orchards and olive groves. There is the opportunity to explore some of France’s most beautiful villages, including Roussillon and Gordes, and to find fascinating perched castles and ochre cliffs.

Who would this holiday appeal to?

This holiday would suit people looking for gentle walking in glorious sun drenched countryside with options to visit lots of unspoilt Provencal towns and villages en route.

Especially suited to people interested in food and wine too!

Similar to which other holidays?

We feel this holiday is similiar to the Alsace Wine Trail, Volterra to San Gimignano, Catalan Classic and Gozo.

Possibility of non-standard departures?

Non standard departures are not really possible, as this region is a repped region. If arriving on a bag run day then arrivals wouldn't tie in with the holiday.

Extra nights at the beginning or the end of the holiday are possible. Extra nights can also be taken in the middle of the tour providing it is for a minimum of 2 nights.
