Highlights The deserted mountains behind Valencia form a varied region where traditional villages, perched on sharp ridges and valley sides, are a world away from the popular Mediterranean coastal resorts just 20 minutes distant. Superb flowers, birds and butterflies, and a fabulous day out in the city of Valencia!

This is a 2 boot level walk - it is on country tracks and paths. Some of these may be rocky and uneven underfoot so you need to be a confident walker to fully appreciate this holiday.
The walks on this holiday are on uneven mountain tracks, many with long stretches on loose stone. Walkers should be confident and moderately fit. Short stretches of Smugglers’ Cove and the Berniere Ridge are unsuitable for vertigo sufferers. Walking boots are essential, walking poles are recommended.
In the Marina Alta Region north of Alicante, set inland back from the coast in a rural valley. Walks are enjoyed in various parts of the area and transfers where necessary are provided to and from starting points.
Sociable people looking for good company and a taste of rural Spain will enjoy this trip. The hotel is small and friendly so tends to be sociable in the evenings.
Similar to Secrets of Andalucia as it is a guided single centre holiday, similar in terrain to Ronda or Hidden Valleys of Cordoba.
Non standard flights and shortening or lengthening of the holiday is possible but private taxi transfer costs will apply.
We're probably a little biased, so here's what our customers say...
