This walking holiday is an average two boot walking holiday.

The walking takes place on well marked paths and trails.

Location:
Our base for the week is Garachico. During the holiday we cover the north west of the island. It is an area full of dramatic contrasts, from lush terraced valleys, plunging gorges and panoramic seascapes, to rocky barrancos (river valleys), cool pine forests and spectacular volcanic geology.

Who would this holiday appeal to?
This holiday would appeal to people seeking winter sun. Nature lovers and lovers of good food and wine.

We think this holiday is similar to our holidays on La Gomera and Madeira

Possibility of non-standard departures?
Non standard dates are not possible as this is a Guided holiday.

This holiday is unsuitable for children under 12.

Below is some useful information for clients considering this holiday but may suffer from vertigo.

El Volcan Negro - not vertiginous at all.

Degollada de la Mesa - most of it isn't vertiginous, but the ridge sections could be. The path is about 6 feet wide with the mountain sloping steeply away.

Las Canadas - not vertiginous at all.

Masca Gorge - a bit of scrambling and a lot of rock hopping, and few very short narrow ledges to negotiate. The guide will help along tricky bits.

Baracan Ridge - same as Degollada de la Mesa for short sections but for the majority of it not veriginous.
