SECRET VALLEYS OF RONDA (FURTHER DETAILS)

General information:
This is a independent 2 Boot walking holiday, you will stay in one hotel, there is no mininum group size.

The walking is on undulating terrain in river valleys, national parks and through open farmland. Some climbs and descents on country tracks and paths. Great views and varied countryside.

Walks close to the hotel are quite challenging with several ascents and descents during the day. Walks in the national parks nearby are less strenuous and very scenic. Special appeal for people into wine, history and small village life. Excellent for birdwatchers too - the area is on the African migration routes so there is lots of bird life here.

Location:
The holiday takes place in the Alto Genal just 20mins drive south of Ronda in Andalucia. We also walk in the nearby national parks of Sierra de las Nieves and Grazalema - both more mountainous and dramatic than the valley itself.

The area is beautiful - rolling valleys of cork oak and high limestone mountains make it extremely dramatic.

Who would this holiday appeal to?
The holiday will mainly appeal to Couples- the hotel is quite grown up so we do not accept children on this holiday.

It will suit people looking for a quiet holiday.

The hotel is divine - classic Andaluz/Moroccan style villa in the centre of a little white village.

There is lots to see in the area - Ronda is especially lovely with stacks of history and charm, and there are several other pretty white villages in the valley.

We can look into non standard departures, for as many nights as you like- This would be on a request basis with hotel.
