This is a 1 boot, independent single centre walking holiday,

We think it is fairly easy walking, with fairly short walks. It is necessary to drive to the start of all but one of the walks on this holdiay, of which two are coastal walks.

Location:
This relaxing holiday helps you to explore a fascinating and unexpected side of Southern Tuscany, part of which is known as the Maremma. The landscape is very varied, with a coastal plain extending back about 15km from the sea. From here the fertile farmland, cut by the valleys of the Fiora and Albegna rivers, begins to rise into the foothills of the classic Tuscan hills.

History is all around. Many of the walks follow Etruscan vie cave through the tufa rock, while in other places you will walk along former Roman roads. You will see thermal springs, ruined medieval fortresses, stunning hilltop villages and have the opportunity to visit renowned archaeological sites.

By the coast there are great walks on Monte Argentario and in the Maremma Regional Park. From high points you can see the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, and even, on a very clear day, glimpse the mountains of Corsica.
