General information:
Independent, 2 boot level, multi-centre holiday.
This holiday explores the most remote South-West corner of Crete and features a descent of the famous and breathtaking Samaria Gorge.
The Samaria Gorge is the longest in Europe and is home to the Golden Eagles, Lammergeiers and Buzzards.
You are mainly walking from the mountains to the coastline, whilst discovering pretty fishing villages surrounded by the beautiful colours of the wild flowers.
Crete has one of the biggest variety of wild flowers that are mainly seen in the Spring or Autumn. There are jujube trees in May and June, pretty sea-daffodils in August and Sep and Oleanders throughout the year.

Our walking holiday is located in the South West corner of Crete.

This holiday would appeal to those who love peaceful surroundings, varied walking with some challenges and those who are interested in flora and fauna, and the rare birds of prey.

We would suggest that this holiday is similar to our Samos holiday, our Turkish holidays and also with walks similar to our Ravello to Sorrento walk.
