General information:
This is an independent 1 Boot walking holiday. The walks are short, but there’s so much of interest to see along the way that you can take as long as you like. There are frequent ascents and descents, often on steps, and these make the walks more challenging than the distances may suggest. We recommend stout footwear with toe protection and grippy soles.
Location:
This holiday is located on Capri- a little island off the coast of Naples.
On this relaxed walking holiday, you follow paved lanes, steps and coastal paths, and pretty ceramic signs guide you past citrus groves and houses bedecked with bougainvillea. Each walk covers a different corner of this small island and has its own coastal views and points of historical interest.
The island has only two towns, Capri and Anacapri. There is an efficient and frequent bus service between the two, so you can start your walks at different points, walking as much or as little as you choose in order to see the best of this fascinating island.
The nearby coastal towns of Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi are short ferry rides away, and Pompeii and Herculaneum are possible day trips.
Who would this holiday appeal to?
This holiday is suited to couples or a group of friends, not suited to children under the age of 16yrs.
Similar to which other holidays?
We think this holiday is similar to the 'Amalfi Coast Walk' but is a great deal less challenging.
Possibility of non-standard departures?
Non standard dates are possible on this holiday.
