CLASSIC SWISS ALPS WALK (FURTHER DETAILS)

General information:
2 boot walking based in Kandersteg, in the heart of the Bernese Oberland. Well-made and maintained paths, excellent signposting. Good range of walks, includes a couple of fairly easy ones. Also one where you take a train through a tunnel and walk above the Rhone valley. Chairlifts and cable cars used to gain height but there is the occasional steepish climb.

Location:
Beautiful scenery, typical Switzerland, snow-capped mountains. Quiet village, cafes, shops. Comfortable hotel, very good food, friendly hosts. Can take train to Interlaken.
