General information:
1 Boot 6 night independent walking holiday spending 4 out of the 6 nights in hotels with a swimming pool.

This easy paced walk starts out on the banks of the majestic Loire visiting great royal chateaux including Chenonceau and Amboise.

Location:
Amboise, overlooking the Loire, is a lovely old town with a long and colourful history. From your hotel there you have a ride through beautiful scenery to begin your walking at the Roman ruins near Thésée. Vineyards line the route as you wend your way along the leafy valley of the Cher to Chissay, and then on to the glorious Château of Chenonceau.

You pass many other châteaux on your walk, all built as bucolic Renaissance residences by the aristocracy over the centuries. Highlights also include tasting of the sublime Loire wines, mouth-watering gastronomy and wonderfully enchanting views. You’ll come away remembering an atmosphere of peace and serenity.
