This is a one boot independent walking holiday with spectacular walking by day, and high standard hotels by night. The walking is fairly gentle on well looked after paths and tracks.
The route first follows the winding, sandy paths of mainland Spain's loveliest coast, then heads inland where you'll discover the unspoilt landscapes of Catalunya and finally takes you through forest paths back to the sea.
The walking is fairly gentle on well looked after paths and tracks. There is a short 200m stretch which is not really suited to those who suffer badly from vertigo, although this can be avoided by shortening the walk.
The holiday starts and ends in Calella de Palafrugell.
This independent walking holiday explores a region called 'Baix Emporda' between the coastal towns of Gerona and Figueres. You'll visit places like Castell d'Emporda, the pretty mediaeval villages of Corca, Monells and La Bisbal and the hilltop town Begur with it's castle, impressive villas and pretty narrow streets.
The region is also known for it's abundant bird and plant life and preserved natural habitats.
This holiday would appeal to anyone interested in gentle walking along the coastline. The route is full of historic, cultural & natural interest. It's a perfect holiday for anyone wanting to fit as much as possible into a short holiday.
This holiday is similar to the Calypsos Isle in Gozo and Volterra to San Gimignano in Italy.
There are possibilities for non-standard departure dates, however your bags have to be transported separately which could involve some extra costs.
If you wish you can extend your holiday in Barcelona, Calella de Palafrugell or Castell d'Emporda.
On this holiday we include continental breakfast and 4 evening meals.
This holiday is suitable for children of all ages.
We're probably a little biased, so here's what our customers say...
"Always good value and you seem to pay attention to comments."

"We were very impressed with the organisation and diversity of the walks and hotels- our first and definitely not our last Headwater holiday!!"
