HEART OF BRITTANY WALK (FURTHER DETAILS)

HOME > ACTIVITY HOLIDAYS > HOLIDAYS IN FRANCE > HOLIDAYS IN BRITTANY >

General information:
1 boot independent walking.

Extremely flat walking along the beautiful coastline. The walking routes follow GR paths which are very well marked.

Location:
The holiday runs to the south east of Quimper along the Atlantic coast.

This walking holiday follows a wonderfully flat route along the gentle coastline of the south-west corner of Brittany.

From the little port at Bénodet you amble along the spectacular coast to Mousterlin. Then it’s on to Port Manec’h, passing between the sea and a number of salt-water lakes and ponds. You finally turn inland to follow the lazy River Aven upstream, walking around inlets and past the picture-postcard village of Kerdruc to arrive in the picturesque town of Pont Aven.

The views and scenery throughout are stunning - don’t forget to keep those binoculars handy as you pass the Nature Reserve at Port Manec’h!

Who would this holiday appeal to?
This holiday is great for families with young children as there is the chance to go to the beach on rest days, and the cycling is very coastal and relaxed. It would also suit people who don’t want hills and people who like the beach and don’t want a lot of touristy attractions.

This holiday wouldn’t suit people looking for a challenging cycle holiday.

Similar to which other holidays?
We think this holiday is similar to those in Burgundy, Alsace, Creuse and the Luberon

Possibility of non-standard departures?
Non-standard departures are not available as this is a repped region, but the holiday runs every other day.

If extra nights are required during the holiday, it is recommended to have 2 nights at a time. This will ensure Headwaters reps can transfer luggage on your behalf.

Other details:
Continental breakfast and evening meals are included on this holiday

This holiday can be shorted by taking out the rest days, to form our 'Heart of Brittany Walk Taster'.
