The cycling routes are a combination of our other cycling holidays in this region- they are demanding but extremely rewarding!

This is a single centre holiday, based in the town of Cajarc. It is possible to see tiny medieval villages, limestone cliffs and the river lot throughout the week.

Location:
The Lot valley, lined by imposing limestone cliffs, and the adjacent Célé valley are perfect for unhurried cycling. The area features dramatic, unspoiled scenery; there are meandering rivers, patchwork fields and stunning views. You will come across beautiful villages such as St-Cirq-Lapopie on its hillside, and the unique plateau landscape of the causse.

Nearby are the world famous prehistoric caves of Pech'Merle, and lively, atmospheric Cahors is but a short distance away. Each evening you return to the luxury of your hotel in he lovely village of Cajarc.

Who would this holiday appeal to?
Anyone who wants a stay-put holiday for either walking or cycling. Also anybody who wants to sample cycling and walking without being fixed to one. This holiday will be good for groups who want some alternative activities also, such as canoeing, horse-riding, sightseeing in caves, castles and medieval villages. There are also opportunities for wine tasting.
