Cross country skiing in the Goms Valley

General information:

This is an ideal cross country ski holiday for those looking to have a little luxury with their excercise!

Included in the holiday are 3x2 hour cross country ski lessons (on the first three days) with a professional ski guide, 6 days' ski/ boot/ pole hire, and trail/ Goms rail passes for the week ensuring free access to a dozen different villages. Snoe shoe hire (if required) should be paid locally.

Location:

The Goms Valley is in central southern Switzerland very close to the southern border with Italy. It is a land of high peaks and icefields, with superb mountain trails and cable cars.

The hotel lies on the banks of the Rhone, on the edge of the pretty village of Obergesteln - one of the highest villages in the valley.

This holiday would appeal to both complete beginners and improvers. It is also suitable for children as there are plenty of activities on offer at the hotel.

This holiday will appeal to anyone who wants to learn to cross country ski, or build up on prior knowledge.

The pistes are well prepared and are mostly flat so skiing here isn't difficult. The distance between the villages in the valley is only 4-5kms, so you don't have to ski too far without a rest.

The hotel does great gastronomic food and has plenty of facilities.
