General information:
This holdiay is a independent cycling holiday, where you cycle from hotel to hotel.

This is a fantastic opportunity to cycle through 3 different countries in one holiday - Austria, Switzerland and Germany, taking in beautiful and historic villages and towns.

Gorgeous lake views all the way around, magic mountain views as well of the Alps in Austria and Switzerland.

Landscape alternatives from occasional nature reserves to open fields and meadows on the south shore. The north shore is full of vines and even more nature reserves. Villages are nearly all pretty and half-timbered with painted buildings and waterfront harbours or marinas.

You can buy local produce - fresh strawberries, grapes and apple juice etc from roadside stalls with honesty boxes.

Location:
The holiday takes place just where Austria and Germany meet northern Switzerland.

Who would this holiday appeal to?
Anyone who loves great views and countryside cycling will enjoy this trip. The region has some excellent hotels- they are all 4 star so the holiday is quite luxurious and there are swimming possibilities every day for those who want to swim in the lake.

It is a unique opportunity to cycle through three different countries, and will be great for families who want to have a flexible holiday.

Because the railway service around the lake is so cheap and so efficient, the routes can be as long or short as you like because you are constantly passing stations the bike path follows the railway for a lot of the way.

Similar to which other holidays?
This holiday is similar to the Austrian Lakes holiday - lots of water, waterfront parks, gorgeous mountain views and half timbered villages all the way through the three countries. There is very good wine available throughout the tour - the German shore is covered with vines and is ideal for wine tasting!

Other details:
Buffet breakfast and 3 course evening meals are included on this holiday except for the two nights in Konstanz.

Here your stay is based on bed and breakfast, as the town is full of restaurants and cafes squirreled away down cobbled streets as well as along the waterfront by the harbour, so it is a pleasant place to stroll around before and after a meal out.

Parking There is no free (non-paying) parking available in Bregenz.

Advance booking price is GBP60 for 11 days and GBP12 for any extra days. Clients who have pre-booked and paid for parking with Headwater should make their way to the Hotel Weisses Freuz. Please drop your luggage and check-in. The hotel receptionist will then hand over your car park voucher and give you directions to your parking area.

Please note: you MUST show your voucher on entry, otherwise you will be charged full price.

Should you choose to pay locally for parking this will cost 96 Euro for 11 days and 12 Euro for any extra days.
