Mid-upper end of a 2 bike holiday (There are a couple of challenging climbs!)
This holiday provides a delightful insight into Provence as it used to be - and into the lives of some of the people who live there. Set midway between the Mediterranean coast and the Maritime Alps, the cycling route takes you past vineyards, fields of poppies and wooded hillsides.
It introduces you to medieval villages which have changed little over the centuries, and you ride along enjoying the heady scent of lavender, wild herbs and pine.
Appeals to anyone who likes France, excellent food and sunshine.
This holiday is similar to any other Provence or any France holiday.
Non standard departures are not really possible, as this region is a repped region. If arriving on a bag run day then arrivals wouldn't tie in with the holiday.
Extra nights at the beginning or the end of the holiday are possible. An optional two night extension is highly recommended in Bauduen as there is simply so much to see and do. We are proposing two additional nights in order that you can really get the most out of your stay. Additional cycling is possible and there are also gentle walks too or challenging hikes. Riding is also a possibility near to the hotel.
The hotels on this holiday are of a very good standard and in lovely settings.
All have swimming pools too. You will sample superb Mediterranean cuisine and world-famous wines.
We're probably a little biased, so here's what our customers say...
"The holiday concept overall is unbeatable. Independence, with confidence in back up support if required. Good routes giving opportunities to see unspoilt France."
Mrs V Wang, Bedfordshire
"Booking by phone is good, as you can often talk to people who really know the holiday and can give advice on extra days."
Mrs D Savory, Birmingham
