General information:
This is a 2 bike holiday which is of a mid range level.

The cycling is fairly flat with no huge hills to climb, there are ascents and descents each day.

Days 1 and 2 are mostly on quiet country lanes, popping in and out of seaside resorts.

Day 3 is running parallel with the River Rance and the last 6km is on a nice flat canal path into Dinan.

Day 4 is along quiet country lanes through little villages and farming communities. The first part of the day has some ascents and descents, but the last 15km are flat.

Location:
This holdiay starts on the North Coast of Brittany just to the West of St Malo, heading inland at Lamballe and then northwest towards the coast. Exploring the North Coast before heading down the River Rance to medieval Dinan. Then across country through forest and farmland back to Lamballe.

The Emerald Coast is spectacular, with its pink granite cliffs, wonderful white beaches and deserted little coves. The routes you follow are along quiet country lanes and uncrowded coastal paths, popping in and out of charming seaside resorts, traditional Breton fishing villages and sleepy farming hamlets. You enjoy wonderful panoramic views without having to climb too many steep hills! Heading inland, you follow the banks of the River Rance and cycle through the magnificent Hunaudaye Forest.

Highlights include the feudal Fort de la Latte and the beautiful stone-crafted town of Dinan. In the Middle Ages, Dinan served as one of the main strategic strongholds of the Duchy of Brittany and much of its medieval charm remains today. Dinard is a lovely resort overlooking fabulous white sandy beaches, and is just a ten minute ferry ride from St-Malo.
