During this cycle you will have the opportunity to visit Gothic cathedrals, medieval castles, renaissance squares and fairytale houses ablaze with window boxes of geraniums.
Location:
This holiday combines the highlights of the Alsace Route du Vin (Wine Road)
with the discovery of a corner of Germany few visitors know about. There
are wine tasting opportunities everyday!
Cycling along country lanes, through vineyards and orchards, your routes
take in some of Alsace’s most beautiful villages. There’s Eguisheim, where
wine making began and medieval Rouffach whose beautifully preserved centre
is listed as a historical site. There are surprises too such as the 17C
fortified town of Neuf-Brisach and the curious witches’ tower at Châtenois.
Cycling across to Germany provides a pleasant contrast. Vineyard trails are
replaced by lovely flat cycling along country lanes. Once across the Rhine

discover the medieval walls of Breisach-am-Rhein and one of Germany’s finest
Gothic cathedrals.
