Highlights A popular 5-night cycling circuit taking in the quintessential British Wye Valley: Iron Age forts, the Black Mountains, the Welsh Marches and the lovely market town of Ludlow, food capital of central England!
|
This is a relatively easy circular holiday taking you from Ludlow through the Shropshire countryside into Wales and the wilds of the Brecon Beacons. You spend two nights in Hay on Wye, before coasting back through the black and white villages and cider orchards to Ludlow again.
The cycling on this holiday is 95% tarmac taking you through rolling countryside, river valleys and pretty villages. There are several steep ascents and descents but they are short and not particularly demanding. The cycling is also fairly flexible with shorter routes possible if required.
This region is the English / Welsh border - a lightly populated area with a pretty latticwork cobweb of country lanes that link several pretty river valleys. You stay in Ludlow, Presteign, Hay on Wye and Kingsland.
If you love unspoiled countryside and coasting along country lanes, dropping into tea shops and country pubs then you'll enjoy this holiday.
This is a unique high quality UK cycling holiday.
Non standard departures on request.
