Set in over 50 hectares of vineyards, olive groves, pine forest and woodland, the 4-star Hotel Il Trebbiolo enjoys a beautiful setting and is a perfect place from which to discover without the crowds.

The hotel itself is small and intimate with just 23 individually designed bedrooms, all of which have been recently fully refurbished. There is also a lovely large swimming pool (18m x 7m). The restaurant is renowned throughout the region for its traditional Tuscan cuisine.

Il Trebbiolo is just a 35 min drive from Florence, so it is certainly possible to use this as a tranquil base from which to explore independently. Otherwise you could take a taxi to nearby Fiesole (6kms): a text-book perfect Renaissance town boasting several Etruscan temple remains, a Roman ampitheatreand some of the finest Romanesque buildings in the Florentine area.
