About Burgundy
This hotel makes for a great base from which to explore the local area: pretty old riverside villages, ancient Burgundian towns and the Morvan National Parkl It’s a region steeped in history too: Bronze Age camps, Roman roads, pilgrims’ paths and Christendom’s finest Romanesque abbey at Vezelay. You are also, of course, in world-famous wine country with the Chablis, Irancy and Coulanges vineyards right on your doorstep.

Hostellerie de la Fontaine

This long-time Headwater favourite is run by M and Mme Guedon’s and is in the centre of the small village of Accolay in Burgundy. The main highlights are the food – it really is something special – and the lovely garden (perfect for pre-dinner drinks). Meals are taken in the atmospheric restaurant (formerly vaulted old wine cellars) and M Guedon will happily advise on the best local wines to match your selection.

Holiday type: Independent single centre. (No minimum group size)
