Happy New Year and welcome to Headwater’s weblog – or blog as they are known in the world of social media, with apologies to fans of the Queen’s English.

In case you need to know, a blog is a contraction of the term web log, and is roughly defined as a website with regular entries in the form of an online journal, with new entries appearing in sequence as they are written. With all the 2009 negativity around, it is a shame there isn’t a newspaper full of positive stories anywhere, so we at Headwater have invented one, and here it is.

The Headwater blog will be filled with topical travel comment*, interesting facts and amusing links to explore, all put together by me, Steve Murray. I have been creating Headwater tours since 2003, which still makes me a relatively recent addition to the Headwater team!

You won’t find anything negative here – ever – so do drop by for a regular dose of travel comment, Headwater updates, curious facts, quotes and general good feeling.
