It will come as no surprise to those of us who know the ‘real’ Tenerife that the BBC News at Ten presenter Huw Edwards has told the Daily Telegraph that it is one of his favourite destinations for a family holiday. You can read the article here.
With their five kids, Huw said that his family have enjoyed France, Spain, Portugal and Cyprus over the years, but Tenerife takes the biscuit.
No wonder – the sheer variety that the island offers is incredible, and on the walking holidays we offer here, you can see a side to the island that those in the big resorts never really appreciate.
There is something a bit special about crunching your way through coal black sand dunes one day, then strolling through blood red lava flows the next.
From the Telegraph article it doesn’t quite sound like Huw has sold the walking concept to the rest of the family, so perhaps they are more into cycling, or perhaps he was just outvoted.
Whichever you fancy Huw, you’re welcome to call us anytime – we have plenty on offer!
