PIEDMONT

A gastronomic gem, tucked into Italy's north-western corner, the Langhe region of Piedmont is a glorious mix of gently rippling, waveshaped hills cloaked by layers of vines, sunflowers and oak forests, crowned with honey-hued hamlets and imposing Savoy castles.
