Great choice for walking holidays
From it's charming Baroque towns and rustic villages, to the fabulous swathes of forested hills, Hungary is a heart-stealer that will lure you back again and again to sample its rich wines, lounge in its thermal spas and gaze at its wildlife.
Our walking routes take you to the country's oldest range of hills, known as Bukk, bordered by Slovakia to the north and Ukraine to the east. Here you'll find magical walking trails that lead through pristine beech forest to historic castles affording spactacular views as far as Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine.
Watch out for red deer, mouflon, short-toed eagles and yellow-spotted salamander as you wend your way past waterfalls, caves and narrow guage trains which hoot and rattle by. Then relax and enjoy the cafe society in beautiful cobbled squares beneath stunning Baroque architecture.
