Using the Headwater website

We've tried hard to ensure that our website is accessible from as many browsers and systems as possible. Our site conforms to W3C standards for HTML and CSS and should be viewable on any system supporting HTML 4 and CSS level 2 - we recommend Mozilla Firefox. The image on the right gives an impression of how our homepage should appear.

Early versions of Internet Explorer and Netscape for OS9 have a number of compatability issues. We recommend upgrading to the latest versions or switching to an alternative browser such as Firefox, Opera or Safari on Apple Macintosh systems.

Cookies and Javascript

Our site uses Javascript and you should ensure that this is enabled to access all parts of the website. All the pages on our site can be viewed on non-java systems but you may find some limited functionality.

You must have 'cookies' enabled within your browser to access some parts of our site. These cookies work by storing small items of information on your computer so that, the next time you visit a page, we can handle your request appropriately.
We use cookies to track your movement around our site (to display appropriate menus, relevant holiday information, appropriate travel options etc.), and to monitor visitor numbers. Screen display

The pages are best viewed at 800 x 600 resolution or above. If you have difficulty reading any sections of the website use the text size or zoom option on the 'View' menu of your browser. If you are using a text-only browser (or have images disabled) we recommend disabling page colours to improve readability. Our site complies with 'Section 508' accesability standards priority 1 and W3C Web Accessibility Initiative level A.

Additional programs

Brochure pages, booking forms and other documents are available for download from our website.
All these files are in Adobe Acrobat format and you will need a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader
(or similar package) to open these files.

We also use 'shockwave' format movies on some pages.
You will need a suitable plug-in for these to be displayed correctly.
