Great food and fine wine form an essential part of all Headwater winter holidays! There is nothing more rewarding after a day out having fun in the snow than going back to your hotel and tucking into a healthy, hearty, delicious local cuisine, washed down with a reputable wine of the area.
We always try to encourage the hotel chefs to include as many regional specialities as possible and base their recipes on fresh local produce and traditional recipes. Some typical foods you might find in Scandinavia could include an elk or reindeer stew, meatballs or of course fish in various shapes and forms.
On all Headwater holidays breakfast is included as standard, often with a copious help-yourself hot and cold buffet. Arrangements for lunch and dinner can vary from place to place (see individual holiday descriptions). In certain places the menus are particularly gastronomic and of course, where meals are included, vegetarian dishes are always offered as an option.
