As passionate food lovers, we know that exceptional cuisine is at the heart of discovering a destination. That’s why our gastronomic cycling and walking holidays are thoughtfully designed for UK travellers who love fine food as much as active travel.

Each curated itinerary leads you to local street food, traditional villages and outstanding restaurants showcasing regional flavours. Our food-focused cycling and walking holidays also include Michelin star dining, intimate wine tastings with local producers and hands on cooking classes with expert chefs.

From refined dining in Barolo to unforgettable meals in Puglia and Matera, Headwater holidays offer a truly delicious way to explore.

What’s included?

Breakfast is included every day, varying by destination. Expect at least a continental selection of drinks, breads and pastries, with generous hot and cold buffets at many hotels.

Lunch is usually at your discretion. When provided, it’s a picnic or a light meal in a local café or restaurant. Where lunch isn’t included, we recommend excellent places to stop on route, and many hotels can arrange a packed lunch.

Evening meals are typically included, unless you’re staying somewhere with a wide choice of local restaurants. Menus reflect regional cuisine and usually feature three to five courses. For a gourmet focus every night, explore our gastronomic holidays.
