Children are welcome on most of our holidays, however facilities and amenities do vary considerably from village to village. For very young children, we’d recommend Venabu in Norway, especially during school holidays when a full programme of events is organised. Lamoura, in the French Jura, also has good facilities for children from about 7yrs upwards, with a special tobogganing slope just behind the hotel. In Leutasch, the hotel has an indoor play area and games room with table tennis, table football, darts and pinball. And, in Vermont, at Christmas and February half term, kids are entertained by Cheryl the Clown and can make friends at Ben & Jerry’s exclusive sundae party!
Families with teenagers might consider Geilo, Leutasch or Davos – plenty of opportunities for ice skating, downhill skiing, snow boarding and things to do in the evenings.
Children get big discounts, all season, usually for under 12’s sharing a room with 2 adults. Even if not sharing, under 12’s will often qualify for discounted travel fares.
